Skills  Upgrading

We assist local providers in developing labour market relevant training courses in order to upgrade women’s skills in growth-oriented (sub-) sectors, professions or trades. First step is in any case the identification of areas with growth potential. This is done by the providers in close cooperation with the Employment Offices and local entrepreneurs.

In order to stimulate young women to get engaged in new, promising sectors instead of the saturated traditional fields, and to support women’s success in such new sectors, we co-finance one promotional event for one selected new sector per year. In such promotion event, women’s performance and services or products shall be put under the spotlight in order to inform the business community, young women and the society in general about women’s chances in new professions and sectors.

Our main activities are:

• Assessment of potential (sub-) sectors through local providers
• Support providers in developing and marketing adequate BDS (business/ technical trainings/ counselling/ modules etc.)
• Promotional events reg. specific and promising sectors (trade fairs, networking, business trips)
